Gallery: Jay-Z at United Center

| December 6, 2017

At this point in his career, Jay-Z is all but an elder statesman in Hip-Hop. The East Coast rapper has always had some of the silkiest flow in the genre and certainly has the record sales as proof (100 million and counting). His “4:44 Tour” touched down for a stop Tuesday at the United Center. The 30+ song set was as much a retrospective as it was a glimpse of where Z (Shawn Carter) might be headed next.

Curt Baran hunkered down in The House That Jordan Built and went hard whenever the beat dropped. Hometown rising star Vic Mensa has been brought along on the current North American trek as an opener.
