Metro art gallery!

| July 11, 2012

Dubbed “Metrospective,” the Metro has curated its own art, posters, and photo exhibit to celebrate the club’s 30th anniversary. It opens July 12th, and extends through August 10th at the Inland Steel Building in the Loop.

Anyone who’s been in the Metro’s lobby since its 25th anniversary has had a taste of what lies in the hallowed venue’s archives, but would be pretty unprepared for what lies in store. As part of the Chicago Loop Alliance’s “Pop-Up Art Loop” campaign, from Monday through Friday (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.) Inland Steel at 77 S. Dearborn Metrospective will go behind the poster for Bob Dylan’s famed gig there in 1997. A full schedule of events is below.
