Shameless Hours preview
Shameless Hours 2007
Stage 83, Lemont
Saturday, August 18, 2007
The third-annual Shameless Hours festival continues to carve out its locals-only/Chicago punk niche.
Boasting its strongest lineup yet, the roster samples a cross-section of not only bands but record labels such as the standbys Victory, Thick, and Hewhocorrupts Inc., but also a national punk (Fat Wreck Chords), Christian pop (Flicker), and across-the-board indie (Sinister Muse).
But enough about the labels. The headliners are The Lawrence Arms and Spitalfield, followed closely in support by Flatfoot 56, Dead Town Revival, Holy Roman Empire, Ryan’s Hope, After The Fight, The Frantic, Thick’s The Brokedowns and Four Star Alarm, The Scissors, The Adversaries, and the lone unsigned/unaffiliated act, X Is For Eyes.
The party starts at noon and chugs until 10 p.m., when the all-ages fiasco ends and the drinking-eligible constituents can head over to Champ’s Rock Room in Burbank at 11.
