Klaxons Invade For Free Show

| April 11, 2007

As part of the Free YR Radio campaign, designed to benefit non-commercial radio across the U.S., DGC Records spazzos/nu-ravers the Klaxons will play a free gig the evening of April 15th at the Urban Outfitters on Milwaukee.

Coinciding with the WLUW Record Fair (Pulaski Park Fieldhouse, 1419 W. Blackhawk), Free YR Radio is a joint attempt between Urban Outfitters and Toyota to raise awareness and funds for independent radio. It was kicked off in Austin during South By Southwest with The Rapture and The Pipettes and will also feature compilation CDs and chances at “vehicle giveaways”; 12 Toyota Yarises will be given away, one for each respective stop on the “tour.”

Festivities begin at 5 p.m.; Urban Outfitters is located at 1521 N. Milwaukee Ave. Klaxons headline a sold-out show on Monday the 16th at Schubas.
