Benefit For Callum Robbins

cal

A lineup featuring Eleventh Dream Day, Chin Up Chin Up, Bobby Conn, The Life And Times, and Red Eyed Legends will be on hand at Empty Bottle on January 27th to raise money for the afflicted one-year-old son of musician/producer J. Robbins.

Though more specific details are available at www.desotorecords.com, the gist is Callum Roberts was born a year ago with type 1 spinal Muscular atrophy. The origins of the genetic disease are unknown though its presence generally precludes the afflicted stricken will not live to see their second birthday. Those who survive begin a life of constant medical attention for an inability to use muscles (Callum will never walk).

Money from this show will go directly to the Robbins, who will be financially exhausted by treatments for their son. Those who wish to help but cannot attend should visit the DeSoto Records’ Web site for a PayPal donation link.

J. Robbins is a prolific producer/engineer and a former member of Jawbox, Channels, and Burning Airlines. His credits include The Promise Ring, Jets To Brazil, Braid, The Dismemberment Plan, Clutch, Against Me!, and Murder By Death.
