Earl Greyhound
Soft Targets
(Some)

Interracial/co-ed New Yawk power trio conjure Zeppelin fire and T. Rex swagger on their debut full-length.

Unabashedly rock β€˜n’ roll and looking as if they just walked out of a Lenny Kravitz video, Earl Greyhound sustain deep-grooved, blues rock pyrotechnics on Soft Targets like Jimi Hendrix’s β€œFire” was the only song they ever heard. Aside from the tepid, modern garage rock in the form of β€œIt’s Over” and β€œLike A Doggy” eating half the tracks, sweaty long hair and bellbottoms rule the day on β€œMonkey,” β€œS.O.S.,” and β€œFashion.” Oasis would probably wet their pants to have β€œGood” β€” today’s Oasis, not Definitely Maybe β€” but the Zep and Cream boys aren’t shaking quite yet.
