Chart Topping Songwriter To Host Chicago Workshop
Jason Blume, who has written or co-written songs for Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, and Colin Raye, will be in the Chicago area on Saturday, July 15th for a writing workshop.
Hosted by the Nashville Songwriters Association (NSAI), Blume’s seminar will run from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Lamplighters Inn (60 N. Bothwell, Palatine), registration for which is $70 ($60 for members) via kitchen_ent@yahoo.com. Blume has worked in TV, penned hits for the Oak Ridge Boys and John Berry, and released two references for Billboard Books: 6 Steps To Songwriting Success and This Business Of Songwriting. He’s establishing a local connection as well by spending time in the studio with Chicago hard rock band Escape From Earth, winners of the MTV/Coca-Cola Challenge.
