Justice
Waters Of Nazareth EP
(Vice)

Not to be confused with jungle/drum ‘n’ bass pioneer Tony “Justice” Bowes, this Justice are a French electronica duo operating with Pedro Winter’s consent.

Having cut a splitting remix of Simian’s trampolining “Never Be Alone,” Winter — who operates solely under “Pedro” — put it into heavy rotation among international DJs and opened the doors for Justice to become remix specialists. Waters Of Nazareth is the duo’s second EP, a spazzy set full of zipper bass grooves, combustible beats, and sonic strobing. “Let There Be Light” rips the curtains down to unveil shrieking blasts of sunlight, while the title track (in its original state and remixed by both the group and Erol Alkan) defies trad ooomp-ooomp-ooomp strategy for scrape-your-ass-on-the-dancefloor grind.
