Deduct two points if you think a project involving Ying Yang Twins’ D-Roc and his younger brothers sounds like something you’d buy.
Now award yourself three points back, because for as fucking dumb as it is, Da Muzicianz is a fantastic party album. Granted, it’s a stags-n-strippers party, nonetheless . . . There’s little to digest when an album commands you to “pop that pussy/shake that ass,” but somehow D-Roc, Mr. Ball, and Da Birthday Boy make it worthwhile, almost as if they’re in on the joke (they’re not). Intentioned bachelor party cuts “Strip Leader” and “Gyrate” (which sounds conspicuously like “Wait”) are what they are — worthless, but Cheetohs are still pretty great, right? Right now D-Roc should check his drawers, ‘cuz he’s shitting gold.
