No relation to the Echo & The Bunneyman song, nor the spirit of. The Killing Moon take a linear path through emo and scream, scream, scream.
If A Message Through Your Teeth is meant as a teaser for an upcoming full-length, The Killing Moon might as well stop here. “Subject A” establishes the template for the other four tracks, planting lyrics cryptic enough to be interesting, but vague enough to have no bite in a minefield of stop/start, loud/soft dynamics. Most surprising are the intermittent ska horn blasts adding a sense of nuance, senseless though they are.
