They waited. They waited again. They waited some more. But this past weekend, their patience finally paid off. Way back in the pre-pandemic days, word went out that My Chemical Romance would reunite and play Riot Fest. Given the luxury of hindsight, we all know how this sentence ends. Fast forward to a perfect summer evening. It happened, and it was Emo-mania. That, in and of itself, would have been amazing. But that ain’t how Riot Fest rolls. Day One of the three-day festival also boasted performances from Portugal. The Man., Alkaline Trio, Taking Back Sunday, The Wonder Years, Descendants, SPARTA, Lagwagon, AVIVA, Foxy Shazam, Wargasm, Lucky Boys Confusion, Cliffdiver, LS Dunes (rotator photo), Carolesdaughter, Holy Fawn, Pale Waves, and Sincere Engineer. Yep…seriously, that was simply the beginning.
