The Wailers

Goo Goo Dolls started life as a way for John Rzeznik and Robby Takac to hang out and make noisy punk rock together. 36 years later, they’re a Grammy award-nominated alternative band with several number hits under their belt. They’re still going strong, with their next album, “Chaos in Bloom,” on the horizon. In support of the new LP, Goo Goo dolls will perform at Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island on August 4th. Find tickets here. Read our August cover with Goo Goo Dolls story here.

Rob Zombie brings his brand of shock, terror, horror, and a little bit of funk to the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in Tinley Park, IL, as part of his Freaks on Parade tour on August 5. Join Zombie and special guests Mudvayne, Static-X, and Powerman 5000 as they take you back to the days of nu-metal with a set that’s bound to be thrilling and chilling. Grab tickets here.

It’s time to say farewell (again) to one of the most iconic and fabulous singers of all time. Sir Elton John, who cemented his place in music history with his emotionally provocative storytelling, hit songs like “I’m Still Standing” and “Candle in the Wind,” and outrageous fashion sense, will play Chicago for the final time as part of his “Farewell Yellow Brick Road: The Final Tour” on August 5. If you want one final glimpse at music royalty, you can still get tickets here.

The Godfather of Reggae Bob Marley, left an incredible legacy after his death that includes his sons and daughters (notably Ziggy, Stephen, and Damian Marley). His backing band, the Wailers are also carrying on the positive vibes of the undisputed king. They play WC Social Club Saturday, August 6. Tickets are still available.

Innovative storytellers Coheed and Cambria, who mix their love of sci-fi, folklore, rock, and metal, will bring the next chapter of their “Armory Wars” saga to Radius on August 6 with special guests Alkaline Trio and MOTHICA. Whether you’re well-versed in the complex and multifaceted universe of the band or just want to rock out, they won’t disappoint. You can still get tickets here.
