After 22 years of Wicker Park residency and two high profile building lease battles with their landlord, Brian Strauss, Cook County Circuit Court judge Orville Hambright Jr. requested that the Double Door‘s management and its landlord “return to court Aug. 4 to determine when the club must leave 1572 N. Milwaukee Ave,” according to the Chicago Tribune.
The club’s co-owner, Sean Mulroney, alluded to the Tribune in June that the club could continue in another location – presumably. We hope so. Stay tuned for more details.
