The whale was big. On nights a famous act was in town,we would see them at the aragon,amplitheater or wherever. After that show we would rush over to the whale. The show at the whale always left you with
a feeling of what rock’in is all about.
Something the big shows lacked. Still to this day,I try to only go to small type clubs..LONG LIVE THE THIRSTY WHALE!

I married a Whale Rock Star!

Ok, I snuck into the Thirsty Whale underage around 1979-1980-one band that I loved was Orphan Allies-a lady front with EV Camp and lead guitar Laith Alani (who went on to play with Shadows of Knight for 8 years).

Fast forward 20 years…I was friends with Laith for two decades, but didn’t didn’t immediately know he was my secret rock star…we were married (I’m 48 and he’s 50) this past February…Rock on!

God Bless the Whale!!
