I have no problem when I read a bad review of something I like, but I find to be extemely insulting and disrespectful to the artist when it's made painfully clear that the reviewer gave at best a half-ass listen to then just tear it down. The fact that you think he's mostly known for one EP with a now-famous guy rather than for heading up one of the most beloved indie rock bands of the late 90's/early 00's who were the influence on Mr. Gibbard, not the other way around, is even more embarrassing...do some actual listening and just a SLIGHT amount of research, jack.
