Adam -
A concert review **is** going to be biased. Perhaps you meant
the reviewer is also arrogant, and what did he expect at a Winger show....

The writer of the above article should be fired for being biased. That's all I have to say.

This show was great. Both bands put on a fantastic show, and I will go again when they play here.

Enuff Z Nuff is one of the most underrated bands in history, and they deserve to be praised for their work. In my opinion, they are one of the best bands of all time. They make catchy good Rock N Roll tunes, that can be marketed to anyone, and Winger does the same.

They put a smile on my face, and I will gladly go see them again :)

I can't agree more with ya Karl! It's amazing just how serious some of these writers do try to spin their psych-babble bias entombed in their "I'm a music critic in my own little ethnocentric writer's guild". Take it for what it is! Three cord progressions, stomping beats, lots of fun. What this younger breed of "music critics" fail to remember is that this 80's hair metal music scene evolved from the general public wanting something different than Casey Casem's top 40 list. Oh and by the way . . . I wonder what song's this newer generation of music critics will be singing to their past with? How bout, "Smells like Teen Spirit", or. . ."Couldn't find a better Man?" Hmmmm . . . I know! . . . anything from MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE!!!! UGHH!!!!

I was at the show on Sunday night and I could not disagree more with Mr. Meyer. Mike, I think you need to 1. lighten up and enjoy the show for what it is, and 2. pay better attention. Because you are one of the MANY "Chicago Music Scene" folks who probably frothed at the mouth when the Pumpkins announced they were reuniting, you have a disdane for anything from the 80's that had big hair, spandex, and put some showmanship into their shows. From what I saw, and I had a damn good view of the venue, the audience enjoyed the show. Yes they played their hits, but they threw about three new songs in. When I say you should pay more attention, I'm speaking in specific of Paul Taylor, the original keyboardist. He came on stage for ONE song: Headed For A Heartbreak. That was his ONLY song on stage. And when you speak of Kip singing to him, Kip asked the audience to let Paul know how much they like Miles Away since Paul wrote it. Why do you and the other writers, when writing about an 80's band's show or cd, always act like someone just sprayed aquanet in your eyes and tore your favorite spandex? As Winger sang, "Loosen Up"!
